Just to share a part of my experiences in my kitchen…
Do we need an inspiration from other people even for cooking and baking? I would say YES! I think I might have watching too many cooking shows in Foxtel. However, I can learn to cook better and feel more pleasure being in the kitchen as I gain more skills and experiences in cooking and baking. I tend to make lesser fatal mistakes too! I said fatal… coz at least the foods are still edible and they do not go straight to the bin.
I admire some of the celebrity chefs and cooks for different reasons. They have different personalities and different approach as well. But… having one goal, make good foods and everybody enjoys. I have not met them in person but know them through their shows and writings. Here are my opinions why I think I got the inspiration from them to enjoy cooking and baking more.
He shows his passion and emotions whenever he explains about his cooking. His cooking style is simple and appetizing. He makes cooking look simple. I have one of his cooking books but I have not tried one yet. The way he tells the stories in his book, it’s pretty much similar to how he speaks in his shows. One thing that I don’t like about him is his hair. He needs a hair pin!!! Geez… it’s a kitchen not a garage.
Her cooking style is also simple and yet delicious. She shows that being in the kitchen does not have to look crumpled (well… she is the tv cooking show). I also adore her looks. You won’t believe that she is a chef (not sure or at least a pro cook). The only thing is that in the gate away show, she showed that she likes this and that and ordered a lot of foods. For sure, she only had a little bite of this and that otherwise, she won’t have that kind of figure.
I like her communication skills as she is very articulate. She is also another good looking cook! I believe that she eats what she cooks as you can tell from her hour glass shape. Her cooking shows are more like a lifestyle show. Btw, she can make you think that cooking is a sexy thing.
A mother of seven turned to a professional menu planner. I like her approach in making cooking simple by having plans and shortcuts. These help me a lot being more organised in the kitchen. Her ideas challenge me to be more creative in cooking my home country foods. However, I do not like some of her recipes as they looked or tasted a bit weird. I have tried a couple of her recipes but not my favourites yet.
She is much elaborated in explaining most of the recipes. She does not mind sharing her tips and tricks in the kitchen for a successful result. I have tried several of her recipes and those are excellent.
She likes trying and combining different flavours in her cooking and baking. She also has heaps of hints in her recipes to help out people like me who still has to learn a lot in cooking and baking. She helps my brain to think outside the box. I still yet have to try her recipe to make beef rendang with a slow cooker.
Let me know if you do have a similar experience

ReplyDeleteYeah, carrots came with different colours; purple green orange etc. Apperentlly the Dutch managed to cultivate the perfect Orange colour to be dedicated to their Kings/Queens ( u know ..the Orange family) Hence these days most people only know Orange carrots.

ReplyDeleteaku gak gitu demen stylenya michael smith. gak tahu kenapa.
resepnya ci ine yg pernah aku coba, kue sus, kaasflensjes, bacang dan daging dgn roti kukus.
